I keep getting older, and oddly this year was no exception. I listen to a lot of Miles Davis, Bill Evans,Bach and Albinoni these days -- but I still listen to a whole mess of everything.
2011 will go down as the year of the 'fed up". You would think that kind of inspiration would lead to an equally tumultuous year in tunes, not really.
So just in time for Christmas, to put it on the list of that hipster near you, here is some of what occupied my space this year in no particular order:
1. Freedom Run - The Rifles
2. David Comes to Life - Fucked up
3. Father, Son, Holy Ghost - Girls
4. Suck it and See - The Arctic Monkeys
5.The Big Roar - Joy Formidable
6.Double Cross - Sloan
7.The Long Surrender - Over the Rhine
8.Slave Ambient - The War on Drugs
9.Bad as Me - Tom Waits
10. El Camino - The Black Keys
11. Cults - Cults
12. The King of Limbs - Radiohead
13. The King is Dead - The Decemberists
14. Hurry Up, We're Dreaming - M83
15. The Whole Love - Wilco
16. Helplessness Blues - Fleet Foxes
17. You were a dick - Idaho
That's all that I can remember. But at my age that's a lot.

Love you!
